How to Apply for a Work Visa

So you have decided to see a little of the world while working you way around.  Great idea, but before you start booking your flight, you need to find out exactly what you need to do to apply for a Work Visa. Most contries will require that you have a work visa before you can live and work inside their borders. See steps below.

Steps

1. You need to contact the consulate of the country that you would like to work in.
2. Gather together all the paperwork and documents that you need. Every countries requirements are different but generally, you will need a copy of your passport, identification papers and a letter of sponsorship.
3. If you are lucky to have a job arranged, then ask your employer to fax you a letter of sponsorship.
4. You must also remember to find out what the fee is and include this with your application.
5. Give yourself plenty of time to apply for the Visa , at least two months in advance of departure, more if you can.

Warnings

• Working abroad without a visa is not a good idea.   If you are caught, you will more then lightly be deported.
