Have you ever needed to create a quick PowerPoint presentation for your job or computer class and failed it because you didn’t have any idea how to work the program? This article should be helpful, it copvers the basics you need to know in order to get up and running with any version of PowerrPoint.
Steps
- Open up PowerPoint on your computer.
- Type in your title and subtitle (the program tells you where, but in case you need more clarification, put the title in the big box and the subtitle in the one under it.)
- Press CTRL+M to get a new slide. You will have a list of slide types come up. If you are planning on inserting a picture with a title, find the blank one with the title. It will work better than the one with the content box, but do what you prefer on your slides.
- Type your info on one slide and repeats these steps until you have all of your info in your Powerpoint.
- You will now have a blank background on your PowerPoint. Click on any place where there is no text with the right button on your mouse. A small menu will come up. Scroll down in the menu until you get to get to Slide Background, to make your own background, or Slide Design for a preset background.
- For slide background, you can either make your slide(s)1 color or 2 colors with fill effects. This is one of those things that you just have to experiment with.
- If you went to slide design, just click on the thumbnail of the background you like, and it will appear on your slide.
