How to Install Skype on a PC

skpyeSkype is a free program that lets you make free calls from one computer to another or from a computer to a regular phone (for 1.7 cents per minute).

 

Steps

  1. Head to www.skype.com and download the installer.
  2. Locate the downloaded file on your computer
  3. Click “run.” The installer will open up and start to load.
  4. Follow the directions that show up on the installer. You now have skype installed on your computer!

Tips

  • To make a new Skype account, open Skype and click on “Don’t have a Skype name,” fill in your information, and click on the sign in button.
  • You can make a caption by clicking your name or username on the top or click personalize to customize skype.

Warnings

  • Don’t call people you do not know! The internet is a dangerous place!
