How to provide “Proof of Earnings” when you are self employed. Most of the time, this is needed for financing or for property rentals (apartments, for example).
Steps
- If you own a home business, you can actually create invoices and payroll forms.
- Provide a copy of your bank statements to show proof of income. If you go back 2 or 3 months it will usually suffice. (you can use a sharpie and black out items you don’t want revealed)
- Provide copies of regular deposit slips dating back several months.
- Most of the time, the requester just wants proof of regular income, not specifically income from employment at a normal job.
